A resident or the representative of a resident may conduct\n\nauthorized electronic monitoring of the resident's room through the\n\nuse of authorized electronic monitoring devices placed in the room\n\npursuant to the provisions of Section 1-1953.1 et seq. of this title\n\nat the expense of such person or representative of the resident and\n\nwith the written consent of any other resident living in the room.\n\nB. A resident who conducts authorized electronic monitoring or\n\nthe representative of the resident may post and maintain a notice at\n\nthe entrance to the resident's room stating that the room is being\n\nmonitored by an electronic monitoring device.\n\nC. Nothing in Section 1-1953.1 et seq. of this title shall be\n\nconstrued to prevent a resident or the representative of the\n\nresident from placing an electronic monitoring device in the\n\nresident's room at the expense of such person; however, if such\n\nresident is sharing a room with any other resident, the resident or\n\nthe representative of the resident shall obtain written consent from\n\nsuch other resident or the representative of the resident living in\n\nthe room and such consent shall be on a form prescribed by the State\n\nDepartment of Health and shall be placed on file with the\n\nadministrator of the facility.\n\nD. If a resident residing in a shared room, or the\n\nrepresentative of a resident residing in a shared room, desires to\n\nutilize an authorized electronic monitoring device and another\n\nresident living in such shared room refuses to consent to the use of\n\nan authorized electronic monitoring device, the nursing facility,\n\nassisted living center or continuum of care facility shall\n\naccommodate the resident or the representative of the resident\n\ndesiring to utilize an authorized electronic monitoring device to\n\nmove to another room if the resident or resident's representative\n\nrequests such a room change within a reasonable amount of time.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"65fd1b361704adeb0aad2a8275eae612d057c4175cd451f3a201b2267cac4e4d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1956.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1956.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
