When a law enforcement agency receives notice of a\n\ncritically missing adult, the agency shall take the following\n\nactions:\n\n1. Enter the missing individual into the National Crime\n\nInformation Center (NCIC) database immediately upon obtaining the\n\nnecessary information for NCIC pursuant to the guidance of the\n\nFederal Bureau of Investigation (FBI);\n\n2. Conduct an investigation into the disappearance of the\n\ncritically missing adult to determine whether the person has likely\n\nbeen abducted or taken against his or her will; and\n\n3. Collect identifying information and any other information\n\nabout the critically missing adult that might be useful to the\n\ngeneral public for the safe recovery of the person.\n\nB.
