Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-201","heading":"County board of health - Membership","body":"There is hereby created in each county of the state a county\n\nboard of health, which shall consist of five (5) members, who shall\n\nserve without compensation, and who shall be residents of the\n\ncounty, appointed as follows:\n\n(a) The State Commissioner of Health shall appoint one member,\n\nwhose term shall expire on June 30, 1964, and each four (4) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(b) The State Commissioner of Health shall appoint another\n\nmember, whose term shall expire on June 30, 1965, and each four (4)\n\nyears thereafter.\n\n(c) The judge of the district court shall appoint one member,\n\nwho shall be the holder of a school administrator's certificate\n\nissued by the State Board of Education, and whose term of office\n\nshall expire on June 30, 1966, and each four (4) years thereafter.\n\n(d) The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint one member,\n\nwho shall be a doctor of medicine, doctor of osteopathy, or, if no\n\ndoctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy is available, the board\n\nof county commissioners may appoint a dentist, optometrist, or\n\nregistered nurse.
