Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-203","heading":"County superintendent of health - Appointment -","body":"Compensation.\n\n(a) There is hereby created the office of county superintendent\n\nof health for each county that does not maintain a county department\n\nof health and that does not participate in the maintenance of a\n\ndistrict department of health.\n\n(b) The county superintendent of health shall be a regularly\n\npracticing physician, of good standing and of good moral character,\n\nand shall be a resident of the county for which he is appointed. He\n\nshall be appointed by, and shall serve at the pleasure of, the State\n\nCommissioner of Health. He shall be compensated for his services at\n\na rate to be fixed by the board of county commissioners, subject to\n\nthe following limitations: In counties having a population of not\n\nmore than ten thousand (10,000), as shown by the last preceding\n\nFederal Decennial Census, he shall be paid not less than Two Hundred\n\nDollars ($200.00) per annum; in counties having such a population of\n\nmore than ten thousand (10,000) and not more than twenty thousand\n\n(20,000), he shall be paid not less than Three Hundred Dollars\n\n($300.00) per annum; in counties having such a population of more\n\nthan twenty thousand (20,000) and not more than forty thousand\n\n(40,000), he shall be paid not less than Five Hundred Dollars\n\n($500.00) per annum; in counties having such a population of more\n\nthan forty thousand (40,000) and not more than fifty thousand\n\n(50,000), he shall be paid not less than Seven Hundred Dollars\n\n($700.00) per annum; and in counties having such a population in\n\nexcess of fifty thousand (50,000), he shall be paid not less than\n\nOne Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) per annum.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c6d37acbafe124ffefba0917797b302e16223d796287bdf9f4d5b831a4ab9bc3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-2021","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
