Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-212","heading":"Powers and duties of city - county board of health","body":"It shall be the duty of the city-county board of health to\n\nrecommend ordinances, rules and regulations to the governing body of\n\nany city or town within its jurisdiction and to the board of county\n\ncommissioners of the county within which such board exists in\n\nmatters pertaining to the preservation and promotion of public\n\nhealth, and to assist in the formulation and adoption of uniform\n\nhealth ordinances, rules and regulations within the jurisdiction of\n\nsuch board.
