Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-215","heading":"Duties of director of city-county health department","body":"The director of the city-county health department shall direct\n\nand supervise all public health activities in the county, except in\n\nincorporated cities and towns which are not governed by the\n\nprovisions of Sections 210 to 218 of this article, and which have\n\nnot entered into any agreement for the operation of the health\n\ndepartment of such city or town. Such director shall administer and\n\nenforce all municipal and county ordinances and rules relating to\n\npublic health matters, and he shall also administer state laws, and\n\nrules of the State Board of Health pertaining to public health,\n\nsubject to administrative supervision of the State Commissioner of\n\nHealth.
