Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-242.4","heading":"Composition and structure of Committee","body":"The Maternal Mortality Review Committee shall be composed of\n\neleven (11) members, or their designees, as follows:\n\n1. Eight of the members shall be:\n\na. the Chair of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American\n\nCollege of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,\n\nb. the President of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American\n\nCollege of Nurse-Midwives,\n\nc. the Medical Director for the Oklahoma Perinatal\n\nQuality Improvement Collaborative,\n\nd. the Director of the Maternal and Child Health Service\n\nof the State Department of Health,\n\ne. the Chair of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Association\n\nof Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses,\n\nf. the Executive Director of the Southern Plains Tribal\n\nHealth Board,\n\ng. the Director of the Oklahoma Perinatal Quality\n\nImprovement Collaborative, and\n\nh. the administrative program manager of the Maternal and\n\nChild Health Service Perinatal and Reproductive Health\n\nDivision; and\n\n2. Three of the members shall be appointed by the State\n\nCommissioner of Health to serve for two-year terms and shall be\n\neligible for reappointment. The members shall be persons having\n\ntraining and experience in matters related to maternal mortality and\n\nsevere maternal morbidity. The members shall be appointed from the\n\nfollowing positions:\n\na. a physician who is a member of the Oklahoma State\n\nMedical Association or the Oklahoma Osteopathic\n\nAssociation,\n\nb. a maternal-fetal medicine physician, and\n\nc. an individual who has been affected by pregnancy-\n\nrelated or pregnancy-associated deaths, severe\n\nmaternal morbidity, and/or lack of access to maternal\n\nhealth care services.\n\nEvery two (2) years the Committee shall elect from among its\n\nmembership a chair and a vice chair.
