Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-2523","heading":"Oklahoma Institute for Disaster and Emergency Medicine","body":"Revolving Fund.\n\nThere is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving fund\n\nfor the State Department of Health, to be designated the \"Oklahoma\n\nInstitute for Disaster and Emergency Medicine Revolving Fund\". The\n\nfund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year\n\nlimitations, and shall consist of all monies received by the State\n\nDepartment of Health from state appropriations for such fund. All\n\nmonies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby appropriated\n\nand may be budgeted and expended by the State Department of Health\n\nas follows:\n\nThe State Department of Health is authorized to develop and\n\nsupport the Oklahoma Institute for Disaster and Emergency Medicine\n\n(the \"Institute\") at the OU College of Medicine in Tulsa. The\n\nprimary duties and responsibilities of the Institute shall include:\n\n1. Creation and delivery of educational initiatives related to\n\ntrauma systems development and trauma systems coordination, in order\n\nto strengthen the quality of trauma care services rendered\n\nstatewide;\n\n2. Development and support of an emergency medical response\n\ninfrastructure to include statewide planning and training functions;\n\n3. Establishment and support of an allopathic emergency\n\nmedicine residency program in Oklahoma; and\n\n4. In partnership with the State Department of Health, to\n\nfurther develop an injury prevention research program to identify\n\nsignificant risks and design and implement effective interventions\n\nto mitigate those risks.\n\nUp to Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) of this fund\n\nmay be used for delivery of urgent care in under-served areas.\n\nExpenditures from said fund shall be made upon warrants issued\n\nby the State Treasurer against claims filed as prescribed by law\n\nwith the Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise\n\nServices for approval and payment.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e87450229c2f13678747f0dce139bc34bdc1d6bf8e0f89618a7f24ab7a553f61","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-2522","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-2530"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
