Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-2530.5","heading":"Recognition of geographic regions with functioning","body":"trauma system - Regional trauma advisory boards - Funding.\n\nA. Each geographic region identified in the statewide trauma\n\nsystems plan that has a functioning trauma system shall be\n\nrecognized by the State Department of Health.\n\nB. Licensed hospitals and ambulance service providers in these\n\nregions shall establish a regional trauma advisory board to\n\nrepresent the region and conduct continuous quality improvement\n\nactivities of the system for the region. Licensed hospitals and\n\nambulance service providers in the region shall designate regional\n\ntrauma advisory board members. Regional trauma advisory board\n\nmembers shall consist of individuals who provide trauma services in\n\nthe regional system, or individuals employed by licensed hospitals\n\nor ambulance service providers in the region. The maximum number of\n\nboard members for any region shall be twenty.\n\nC. As funds are available, regional trauma advisory boards may\n\nreceive funding from the Department to support their administrative\n\nand continuous quality improvement activities.\n\nD. 1. Meetings of regional trauma advisory boards and their\n\nsubcommittees conducted to review patient-specific care for the\n\npurpose of conducting continuous quality improvement activities of\n\nthe system for the region to include but not be limited to trauma,\n\nstroke and ST-Elevated Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), shall not be\n\nsubject to the provisions of the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.\n\n2. The proceedings and records of the meetings referenced in\n\nparagraph 1 of this subsection to include patient care records,\n\nreports and other related materials generated for the purposes of\n\nconducting continuous quality improvement activities of the system\n\nfor the region and to include but not be limited to trauma, stroke\n\nand STEMI, shall be confidential and not subject to the Oklahoma\n\nOpen Records Act, or disclosure by subpoena or otherwise.\n\n3.
