Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-2552","heading":"Article III — Home state licensure","body":"ARTICLE III\n\nHome State Licensure\n\nA. Any member state in which an individual holds a current\n\nlicense shall be deemed a home state for purposes of this Compact.\n\nB. Any member state may require an individual to obtain and\n\nretain a license to be authorized to practice in the member state\n\nunder circumstances not authorized by the privilege to practice\n\nunder the terms of this Compact.\n\nC. A home state's license authorizes an individual to practice\n\nin a remote state under the privilege to practice only if the home\n\nstate:\n\n1. Currently requires the use of the National Registry of\n\nEmergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination as a condition of\n\nissuing initial licenses at the EMT and paramedic levels;\n\n2. Has a mechanism in place for receiving and investigating\n\ncomplaints about individuals;\n\n3. Notifies the Commission, in compliance with the terms\n\nherein, of any adverse action or significant investigatory\n\ninformation regarding an individual;\n\n4. No later than five (5) years after activation of the\n\nCompact, requires a criminal background check of all applicants for\n\ninitial licensure, including the use of the results of fingerprint\n\nor other biometric data checks compliant with the requirements of\n\nthe Federal Bureau of Investigation with the exception of federal\n\nemployees who have suitability determination in accordance with CFR\n\nSection 731.202 and submit documentation of such as promulgated in\n\nthe rules of the Commission; and\n\n5.
