Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-2558","heading":"Article IX — Additional powers invested in a member","body":"state's EMS authority.\n\nARTICLE IX\n\nAdditional Powers Invested in a Member State's EMS Authority\n\nA member state's EMS authority, in addition to any other powers\n\ngranted under state law, is authorized under this Compact to:\n\n1. Issue subpoenas for both hearings and investigations that\n\nrequire the attendance and testimony of witnesses and the production\n\nof evidence. Subpoenas issued by a member state's EMS authority for\n\nthe attendance and testimony of witnesses, and/or the production of\n\nevidence from another member state, shall be enforced in the remote\n\nstate by any court of competent jurisdiction, according to that\n\ncourt's practice and procedure in considering subpoenas issued in\n\nits own proceedings. The issuing state EMS authority shall pay any\n\nwitness fees, travel expenses, mileage, and other fees required by\n\nthe service statutes of the state where the witnesses and/or\n\nevidence are located; and\n\n2.
