The State Department of Health may replicate and use\n\nsuccessful osteoporosis programs and enter into contracts and\n\npurchase materials or services from organizations with appropriate\n\nexpertise and knowledge of osteoporosis for such services and\n\nmaterials as, but not limited to, the following:\n\n1. Educational information and materials on the causes,\n\nprevention, detection, treatment, and management of osteoporosis;\n\n2. Training of staff;\n\n3. Physicians and health care professional education and\n\ntraining and clinical conferences;\n\n4. Conference organization and staffing;\n\n5. Regional office development and staffing;\n\n6. Nominations for advisory panels;\n\n7. Support group development;\n\n8. Consultation;\n\n9. Resource library facilities;\n\n10. Training home health aides and nursing home personnel; and\n\n11. Training teachers.\n\nB. The Department may contract with a national organization\n\nwith expertise in osteoporosis to establish and staff an office of\n\nsuch organization in the state to implement parts of the\n\nosteoporosis education program.\n\nC. The State Commissioner of Health:\n\n1. May accept grants, services, and property from the federal\n\ngovernment, foundations, organizations, medical schools, and other\n\nentities as may be available for the purposes of fulfilling the\n\nDepartment’s duties under this program; and\n\n2.
