As funding permits, the State Department of Health shall\n\nfoster and coordinate implementation of a plan for a statewide\n\ncoordinated system of care for stroke, which shall include special\n\nfocus and attention on evidence-based treatment for stroke. Such\n\nsystem shall include, but shall not be limited to:\n\n1. Recommendations from the Oklahoma Hospital Advisory Council\n\nand medical experts in stroke care;\n\n2. Collaboration and partnerships with relevant professional\n\norganizations and associations advocating for evidence-based\n\ntreatment for stroke patients;\n\n3. Measures to raise awareness and promote preventative medical\n\ncare regarding risk factors for stroke;\n\n4. Utilization of state-recognized stroke hospital\n\nclassifications; and\n\n5. Protocols for evidence-based pre-hospital and interfacility\n\nassessment, treatment, and transport of stroke patients by emergency\n\nmedical responders and agencies licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nEmergency Response Systems Development Act.\n\nB.
