Funds shall be used by the University Hospitals Authority\n\nfor primary care provider evaluation training for providers in the\n\nSooner SUCCESS program to acquire skills necessary to evaluate\n\nchildren with autism spectrum disorders.\n\nB. 1. The Developmental Disabilities Services Division of the\n\nDepartment of Human Services shall establish an applied behavior\n\nanalysis treatment pilot project. The Division shall secure federal\n\nmatching dollars to implement and maintain the project.\n\n2. The project shall:\n\na. provide three Board-Certified Behavior Analysts to\n\nmeasure functional outcomes of children with autism,\n\nwho are approved by the Division to participate in the\n\nproject, and study the effects of applied behavior\n\nanalysis in a consultative model that includes a\n\nparental training component, and\n\nb. require the participating analysts to provide the\n\nnecessary supervision to assist supervisees in this\n\nstate to learn and provide applied behavior analysis\n\nand achieve certification by the nationally accredited\n\nBehavior Analyst Certification Board.\n\n3. The project shall commence no later than January 1, 2011,\n\nand end no later than three (3) years from the date of commencement.\n\n4. The Division shall submit a report to the Legislature and\n\nthe Governor no later than January 1, 2014, concerning:\n\na. the effectiveness of the project,\n\nb. the results found when using applied behavior analysis\n\nin a consultative model that includes a parental\n\ntraining component to measure functional outcomes of\n\nchildren with autism,\n\nc. the most effective approach and systems to provide\n\napplied behavior analysis, and\n\nd. any other findings and recommendations resulting from\n\nthe project.\n\n5.
