Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-291.5","heading":"Approval of treatment plan and funding - Time limit","body":"for treatment and submission of bills.\n\nAny Oklahoma veteran who has been diagnosed with a traumatic\n\nbrain injury (TBI) and prescribed hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT)\n\nby a medical professional authorized under Section 2 of this act may\n\nreceive HBOT at any facility in the state that has a hyperbaric\n\nchamber and provides treatment in accordance with Section 2 of this\n\nact.\n\nPrior to receiving treatment, a treatment plan for the TBI by\n\nHBOT shall be reviewed and conform to a plan approved by the\n\nOklahoma State University Center for Aerospace and Hyperbaric\n\nMedicine. The facility seeking reimbursement from the fund shall\n\nrequest approval for funding from the Director of the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services. Upon receipt of an approved\n\nrequest for treatment, the funds for treatment shall be set aside\n\nand used to ensure payment in full for the veteran's treatment. If\n\nthere is not enough money in the fund to set aside for treatment\n\nreimbursement, the Director of Office of Management and Enterprise\n\nServices shall deny approval of the request.\n\nAt the conclusion of six (6) months of no treatment and/or the\n\nlack of submission of any bills, the Director of the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services shall advise the veteran and the\n\nparticipating facility that the funding reserved for the HBOT shall\n\nexpire within ninety (90) days if no contact is made by the facility\n\nthat treatment is scheduled and/or continued. Should the facility\n\nfail to contact the Office of Management and Enterprise Services\n\nwith the information that treatment is scheduled and/or continued,\n\nthen the monies reserved for treatment of that veteran shall be\n\nreleased and made available to another veteran meeting the\n\nrequirements of this act.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d1edfc0bb0610965d6f791cd2b67411782a79bbcd399ef93bf8f6320451d7b20","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-291.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-291.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
