Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-301","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this article:\n\n1. \"Vital statistics\" means records of birth, death, fetal\n\ndeath and data related thereto;\n\n2. \"System of vital statistics\" means the registration,\n\ncollection, preservation, amendment and certification of vital\n\nstatistics records, and activities related thereto, including the\n\ntabulation, analysis and publication of statistical data derived\n\nfrom such records;\n\n3. \"Filing\" means the presentation of a certificate, report or\n\nother record provided for in this article, of a birth, death, fetal\n\ndeath or adoption, for registration by the Commissioner of Health;\n\n4. \"Registration\" means the acceptance by the Commissioner of\n\nHealth and the incorporation in his or her official records of\n\ncertificates, reports or other records provided for in this article,\n\nof births, deaths, fetal deaths or adoptions;\n\n5. \"Live birth\" means the complete expulsion or extraction from\n\nthe mother of a product of human conception, irrespective of the\n\nduration of pregnancy, which, after such expulsion or extraction,\n\nbreathes or shows any other evidence of life such as beating of the\n\nheart, pulsation of the umbilical cord or definite movement of\n\nvoluntary muscles, whether or not the umbilical cord has been cut or\n\nthe placenta is attached;\n\n6. \"Stillbirth\" or \"stillborn child\" means a fetal death;\n\n7. \"Certificate of birth resulting in stillbirth\" means a\n\ncertificate issued to memorialize a stillborn child;\n\n8. \"Fetal death\" means death prior to the complete expulsion or\n\nextraction from its mother of a product of human conception after\n\nthe fetus has advanced to or beyond the twelfth week of\n\nuterogestation. The death is indicated by the fact that, after such\n\nexpulsion or extraction, the fetus does not breathe or show any\n\nother evidence of life such as beating of the heart, pulsation of\n\nthe umbilical cord or definite movement of voluntary muscles;\n\n9. \"Dead body\" means an individual who is determined to be dead\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Uniform Determination of Death\n\nAct;\n\n10. \"Final disposition\" means the burial, interment, cremation,\n\nor other disposition of a dead body or fetus;\n\n11. \"Physician\" means a person who is a member of the class of\n\npersons authorized to use the term \"physician\" pursuant to Section\n\n725.2 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n12. \"Institution\" means any establishment, public or private,\n\nwhich provides inpatient medical, surgical or diagnostic care or\n\ntreatment, or nursing, custodial or domiciliary care, to two or more\n\nunrelated individuals, or to which persons are committed by law;\n\n13. \"Disinterment\" means the recovery of human remains by\n\nexhumation or disentombment. \"Disinterment\" does not include the\n\nraising and lowering of remains to accommodate two interments within\n\na single grave and does not include the repositioning of an outside\n\nburial container that encroaches on adjoining burial space; and\n\n14. \"Minor correction\" means fixing a scrivener's error,\n\ncorrecting an error in the spelling of a name or word of common\n\nknowledge, filling in an erroneous omission, deleting an erroneous\n\naddition, or something similar.
