Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-517","heading":"Definitions","body":"For the purposes of the following sections of this article:\n\n(a) The term \"sexually transmitted infection (STI)\" means\n\nsyphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, human immunodeficiency virus\n\n(HIV)/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), and any other\n\ndisease which may be transmitted from any person to any other person\n\nthrough or by means of any form of sexual contact.\n\n(b) The term \"infected person\" means any individual, either\n\nsex, who may be carrying the organism or is afflicted with any STI.\n\n(c) The term \"dealer\" means any person who may handle, for\n\nsale, any medicinal remedies or supposed remedies for an STI, and\n\nthe agents, clerks and employees of any such person; and any person\n\nwho may profess or claim to treat or cure, by the use of medicine or\n\notherwise, any sexually transmitted infection (STI), and the agents,\n\nclerks and employees.\n\n(d) The term \"health care provider\" means an allopathic\n\nphysician, osteopathic physician, physician assistant, or Advanced\n\nPractice Registered Nurse licensed in this state and authorized to\n\nprescribe drugs.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c2cceee7cc1097f06fe74cebe705d7f04a8493b631f678ae85c335c1536119d3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-516.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-518"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
