Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-550.3","heading":"Record of Infants Born Exposed to Alcohol and Other","body":"Harmful Substances.\n\nA. The Department of Human Services shall establish and\n\nmaintain an up-to-date Record of Infants Born Exposed to Alcohol and\n\nOther Harmful Substances. Such record shall include data necessary\n\nfor surveys and scientific research, and other data which is\n\nnecessary and proper to further the recognition, prevention and\n\ntreatment of infants born addicted to or prenatally exposed to\n\nharmful substances and shall be based upon information collected by\n\nthe Department as a result of investigations made pursuant to\n\nSection 7103 of Title 10 of the Oklahoma Statutes. For purposes of\n\nthis section, \"harmful substances\" means an intoxicating liquor or a\n\ncontrolled dangerous substance.\n\nB. The Record of Infants Born Exposed to Alcohol and Other\n\nHarmful Substances shall include, but not be limited to, the\n\nfollowing information:\n\n1. The classification of the birth hospital, whether it is\n\npublic or private;\n\n2. Results of the toxicology report on an infant and its mother\n\nand, if positive, the type of drug or drugs involved;\n\n3. The date of birth, birth weight, gestational age and race of\n\nthe infant;\n\n4. The county of residence;\n\n5. The date and county of report;\n\n6. Demographic information on the mother including, but not\n\nlimited to, age, race, education level, marital status, income\n\nlevel, whether prenatal care was received and the type of prenatal\n\ncare received, whether it was private, public health clinic or\n\nhospital clinic;\n\n7. Type of treatment, whether the mother was referred for\n\ninpatient or outpatient; and\n\n8. Whether the child was recommended for removal from custody\n\nof the parent.\n\nC. Nothing in this section shall be construed to compel any\n\ninfant or mother reported pursuant to the provisions of this act to\n\nsubmit to any medical examination, treatment or supervision of any\n\nkind.\n\nD. The Commission for Human Services shall promulgate rules to\n\ncarry out the provisions of this section and the Department of Human\n\nServices shall adopt agency policy directing employees of the Child\n\nWelfare Division within the Department of Human Services to collect\n\nand compile any and all data and information gathered from\n\ninvestigations made pursuant to Section 7103 of Title 10 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes necessary for the purposes of this section.\n\nE. The Department of Human Services shall compile and evaluate\n\ninformation received from the reports required pursuant to this\n\nsection into a report to be distributed on or before January 1 of\n\neach year to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate,\n\nthe Speaker of the House of Representatives and such other persons\n\nas the Department deems advisable or necessary.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0470002b53f21bc807f3faa62edb612981f61a50f37d1b04fd5ee22c5ddfdf4d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-550.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-550.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
