The State Department of Health shall make such\n\ninvestigations concerning birth defects and cancer, the prevention\n\nand treatment of said diseases or impairments and the mortality\n\nresulting from them, and take such action to assist in reducing said\n\nmortality as it deems necessary and appropriate.\n\nB. The State Department of Health shall compile and evaluate\n\ninformation received from the reports required pursuant to Sections\n\n1 and 2 of this act and subsection A of this section in a report to\n\nbe distributed on or before January 1 of each year to the Governor,\n\nthe Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro\n\nTempore of the Senate and to such other person as the Commissioner\n\ndeems advisable or necessary.
