Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-564","heading":"Requirements for licensure - Issuance of temporary","body":"license.\n\nA. An applicant for licensure as a genetic counselor shall:\n\n1. Submit an application on forms provided by the State\n\nDepartment of Health;\n\n2. Pay a fee, not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00), as\n\ndetermined by the State Board of Health;\n\n3. Provide satisfactory evidence of having earned:\n\na. a master's degree from a genetic counseling training\n\nprogram that is accredited by the American Board of\n\nGenetic Counseling or an equivalent entity as\n\ndetermined by the ABGC, or\n\nb. a doctoral degree from a medical genetics training\n\nprogram accredited by the American Board of Medical\n\nGenetics or an equivalent as determined by the ABMG;\n\nand\n\n4. Meet the examination requirement for certification as:\n\na. a genetic counselor by the ABGC or the ABMG, or\n\nb. a medical geneticist by the ABMG.\n\nB.
