The administrator in charge of or the governing board of\n\neach hospital licensed by the State Commissioner of Health shall\n\nadopt written criteria for use in determining which licensed medical\n\ndoctors, doctors of osteopathy, doctors of podiatry, and health\n\nservice psychologists shall be granted professional and/or medical\n\nstaff privileges by the hospital. A licensed hospital shall not\n\ndeny an application based solely on the applicant's license, as long\n\nas the applicant is licensed to practice:\n\n1. Medicine by the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision;\n\n2. Osteopathy by the State Board of Osteopathy;\n\n3. Podiatry by the State Board of Podiatry; or\n\n4. As a health service psychologist by the Oklahoma State Board\n\nof Examiners of Psychologists.\n\nB. The accordance and delineation of medical staff membership\n\nor clinical privileges shall be determined on an individual basis\n\ncommensurate with an applicant's education, training, experience and\n\ndemonstrated clinical competence.\n\nC. When medical education training and specialty board\n\ncertification are considerations in the credentialing and\n\nrecredentialing of physicians, hospitals and health plans shall give\n\nequal recognition to those bodies recognized by the federal\n\ngovernment for the training and certification of such physicians.\n\nHospitals and health plans shall not discriminate, on the basis of\n\neducation, against eligible physicians who have:\n\n1. Graduated from medical schools and postdoctoral programs\n\napproved by either the American Osteopathic Association or the\n\nAccreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education; or\n\n2.
