Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-719","heading":"Bonds of counties, cities and towns","body":"Any county, city, or town is hereby authorized to issue bonds\n\nfor constructing and equipping a hospital, community mental health\n\nfacility, public health center, or related health facility, to be\n\nowned and operated by such county, city, or town in accordance with\n\nstandards approved by the State Commissioner of Health; provided,\n\nthat such bonds may be issued to construct a jointly owned and\n\noperated hospital, community mental health facility, public health\n\ncenter, or related health facility, by two or more counties, or by\n\none or more counties and a city or cities, or by two or more cities.\n\nExcept as provided in the Municipal and County Economic and\n\nCommunity Development Bonds Act pursuant to Section 800 et seq. of\n\nTitle 62 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the bonds shall be issued upon\n\nthe assent thereto of three-fifths (3/5) of the voters of the\n\nsubdivision issuing the bonds, voting at an election held for that\n\npurpose. The proposition voted on shall state specifically the type\n\nof hospital facility to be constructed. Such election shall be\n\ncalled by the governing board or managing body of such subdivision.\n\nNotice of the election shall be published for two (2) successive\n\nweeks in a weekly or daily newspaper, having a general circulation\n\nin the subdivision. The bonds shall be made to mature serially as\n\nnow provided by law and shall be sold at an advertised sale under\n\nexisting laws. The rate of interest shall not exceed eight percent\n\n(8%) per annum.
