Maintain a list of all standard charges for all hospital\n\nitems or services in accordance with this section; and\n\n2. Ensure the list required under paragraph 1 of this\n\nsubsection is available at all times to the public, including by\n\nposting the list electronically in the manner provided by this\n\nsection.\n\nB. The standard charges contained in the list required to be\n\nmaintained by a hospital under subsection A of this section shall\n\nreflect the standard charges applicable to that location of the\n\nhospital, regardless of whether the hospital operates in more than\n\none location or operates under the same license as another hospital.\n\nC. The list required under subsection A of this section shall\n\ninclude the following items, as applicable:\n\n1. A description of each hospital item or service provided by\n\nthe hospital;\n\n2. The following charges for each individual hospital item or\n\nservice when provided in either an inpatient setting or an\n\noutpatient department setting, as applicable:\n\na. the gross charge,\n\nb. the de-identified minimum negotiated charge,\n\nc. the de-identified maximum negotiated charge,\n\nd. the discounted cash price, and\n\ne. the payor-specific negotiated charge, listed by the\n\nname of the third-party payor and plan associated with\n\nthe charge and displayed in a manner that clearly\n\nassociates the charge with each third-party payor and\n\nplan; and\n\n3. Any code used by the hospital for purposes of accounting or\n\nbilling for the hospital item or service, including the Current\n\nProcedural Terminology (CPT) code, the Healthcare Common Procedure\n\nCoding System (HCPCS) code, the Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) code,\n\nthe National Drug Code (NDC), or other common identifier.\n\nD. The information contained in the list required under\n\nsubsection A of this section shall be published in a single digital\n\nfile that is in a machine-readable format.\n\nE. The list required under subsection A of this section shall\n\nbe displayed in a prominent location on the hospital’s publicly\n\naccessible Internet website. If the hospital operates multiple\n\nlocations and maintains a single Internet website, the list required\n\nunder subsection A of this section shall be posted for each location\n\nthe hospital operates in a manner that clearly associates the list\n\nwith the applicable location of the hospital.\n\nF. The list required under subsection A of this section shall:\n\n1. Be available:\n\na. free of charge,\n\nb. without having to establish a user account or\n\npassword, and\n\nc. without having to submit personal identifying\n\ninformation;\n\n2. Be digitally searchable; and\n\n3. Use the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services naming\n\nconvention specified under 45 C.F.R., Section 180.50.\n\nG. The hospital shall update the list required under subsection\n\nA of this section at least once each year.
