Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-725.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Transparency in Health Care Prices Act:\n\n1. “Agency” means a government department, agency or a\n\ngovernment-created entity;\n\n2. “CPT code” means the Current Procedural Terminology code, or\n\nits successor code, as developed and copyrighted by the American\n\nMedical Association or its successor entity;\n\n3. “Health care facility” means a facility licensed or\n\ncertified by the State Department of Health, but shall not include a\n\nnursing care facility, assisted living facility, home care agency,\n\nor hospital;\n\n4. “Health care price” means the cash price that a health care\n\nprovider or health care facility will charge a recipient for health\n\ncare services that will be rendered. Health care price is the price\n\ncharged for the standard service for the particular diagnosis and\n\ndoes not include any amount that may be charged for complications or\n\nexceptional treatment;\n\n5. “Health care provider” means a person who is licensed,\n\ncertified or registered by this state to provide health care\n\nservices or a medical group, independent practice association or\n\nprofessional corporation providing health care services;\n\n6. “Health care services” or “services” means services included\n\nin, or incidental to, furnishing to an individual:\n\na. medical, mental, dental or optometric care or\n\nhospitalization, or\n\nb. other services for the purpose of preventing,\n\nalleviating, curing or healing a physical or mental\n\nillness or injury;\n\n7. “Recipient” means an individual who receives health care\n\nservices from a health care provider or health care facility; and\n\n8. “Specialty service line” means health care services rendered\n\nby a specific medical specialist to include, but not be limited to:\n\na. general surgery,\n\nb. obstetrics or gynecology,\n\nc. cardiology,\n\nd. urology,\n\ne. ophthalmology,\n\nf. neurology/neurosurgery,\n\ng. orthopedics,\n\nh. hematology/oncology,\n\ni. pathology,\n\nj. radiology,\n\nk. emergency medicine,\n\nl. physical therapy, or\n\nm. another specialty service provided by a health care\n\nfacility.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b094007b2ef2b92a0aeab3d776ba86e83e7792e4557ae1cc1e9d95d582f7c5ab","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-725.17","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-725.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
