The provisions of Section 4 of this act shall not apply to\n\nan abortion provider in the case that the abortion is necessary to\n\navert the mother's death or in the case of a medical emergency.\n\nB. Upon a determination by an abortion provider under\n\nsubsection A of this section that an abortion is necessary to avert\n\nthe death of the mother or that there is a medical emergency, such\n\nprovider shall certify the specific medical conditions that support\n\nsuch determination and include such certification in the medical\n\nfile of the pregnant woman.\n\nC.
