Except as provided by Sections 5 and 6 of this act, a\n\nphysician shall not knowingly perform or induce an abortion on a\n\npregnant woman if the physician detected a fetal heartbeat for the\n\nunborn child as required by Section 3 of this act or failed to\n\nperform a test to detect a fetal heartbeat.\n\nB. A physician shall not be in violation of this section if the\n\nphysician performed a test for a fetal heartbeat as required by\n\nSection 3 of this act and did not detect a fetal heartbeat.\n\nC.
