Sections 3 and 4 of this act shall not apply if a physician\n\nbelieves a medical emergency exists that prevents compliance with\n\nthis act.\n\nB. A physician who performs or induces an abortion under\n\ncircumstances described by subsection A of this section shall make\n\nwritten notations in the pregnant woman's medical record of:\n\n1. The physician's belief that a medical emergency necessitated\n\nthe abortion; and\n\n2. The medical condition of the pregnant woman that prevented\n\ncompliance with this act.\n\nC.
