No person shall perform or induce or attempt to perform or\n\ninduce an abortion upon a woman when it has been determined, by the\n\nphysician performing or inducing or attempting to perform or induce\n\nthe abortion or by another physician upon whose determination that\n\nphysician relies, that the probable postfertilization age of the\n\nwoman's unborn child is twenty (20) or more weeks, unless, in\n\nreasonable medical judgment, she has a condition which so\n\ncomplicates her medical condition as to necessitate the abortion of\n\nher pregnancy to avert her death or to avert serious risk of\n\nsubstantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily\n\nfunction, not including psychological or emotional conditions. No\n\nsuch condition shall be deemed to exist if it is based on a claim or\n\ndiagnosis that the woman will engage in conduct which she intends to\n\nresult in her death or in substantial and irreversible physical\n\nimpairment of a major bodily function.\n\nB. When an abortion upon a woman whose unborn child has been\n\ndetermined to have a probable postfertilization age of twenty (20)\n\nor more weeks is not prohibited by this section, the physician shall\n\nterminate the pregnancy in the manner which, in reasonable medical\n\njudgment, provides the best opportunity for the unborn child to\n\nsurvive, unless, in reasonable medical judgment, termination of the\n\npregnancy in that manner would pose a greater risk either of the\n\ndeath of the pregnant woman or of the substantial and irreversible\n\nphysical impairment of a major bodily function, not including\n\npsychological or emotional conditions, of the woman than would other\n\navailable methods.
