Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-746.9","heading":"Anonymity in court proceedings","body":"In every civil or criminal proceeding or action brought under\n\nthis act, the court shall rule whether the anonymity of any female\n\nupon whom an abortion has been performed or attempted shall be\n\npreserved from public disclosure if she does not give her consent to\n\nsuch disclosure. The court, upon motion or sua sponte, shall make\n\nsuch a ruling and, upon determining that her anonymity should be\n\npreserved, shall issue orders to the parties, witnesses, and counsel\n\nand shall direct the sealing of the record and exclusion of\n\nindividuals from courtrooms or hearing rooms to the extent necessary\n\nto safeguard her identity from public disclosure. Each such order\n\nshall be accompanied by specific written findings explaining why the\n\nanonymity of the female should be preserved from public disclosure,\n\nwhy the order is essential to that end, how the order is narrowly\n\ntailored to serve that interest, and why no reasonable less-\n\nrestrictive alternative exists. In the absence of written consent\n\nof the female upon whom an abortion has been performed or attempted,\n\nanyone, other than a public official, who brings an action under\n\nSection 8 of this act shall do so under a pseudonym.
