Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-757.8","heading":"Certified physician requirements","body":"The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the\n\nState Board of Osteopathic Examiners shall also require the\n\nfollowing of certified physicians:\n\n1. Maintaining hospital admitting privileges at one or more\n\nhospitals in the county or contiguous county where the abortion-\n\ninducing drug was provided, and informing the patient of any\n\nhospital where the physician holds admitting privileges; or\n\n2. Alternatively, the physician may enter into a written\n\nagreement with an associated physician in the county or contiguous\n\ncounty where the abortion-inducing drug was provided. The written\n\nagreement shall meet these conditions:\n\na. a physician who provides an abortion-inducing drug\n\nshall notify the patient of the location of the\n\nhospital at which the associated physician has\n\nadmitting privileges,\n\nb. the physician shall keep, at the location of his or\n\nher practice, a copy of the written agreement,\n\nc. the physician shall submit a copy of the written\n\nagreement to their state licensing board and the State\n\nDepartment of Health as part of any required clinic\n\nlicensure,\n\nd. the State Department of Health shall verify the\n\nvalidity of the document, and shall remove any\n\npersonal identifying information of the patient from\n\nthe document before releasing the document in\n\naccordance with the following:\n\n(1) the State Department of Health shall annually\n\nsubmit a copy of the written agreement described\n\nin this paragraph to each hospital located in the\n\ncounty or a county that is contiguous to the\n\ncounty where the abortion was performed, and\n\n(2) the State Department of Health shall confirm to a\n\nmember of the public, upon request, that the\n\nwritten agreement required to be submitted under\n\nthis section for an abortion clinic has been\n\nreceived by the Department,\n\ne. the agreement shall be renewed annually, or more often\n\nas required by the physician's state licensing board,\n\nf. the agreement shall include a requirement that the\n\nphysician provide to the patient and require the\n\npatient to sign all legally required informed consent\n\nmaterial, and\n\ng. the agreement shall require the adherence to all\n\nreporting requirements from the State Department of\n\nHealth and the physician's licensing board.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"494d95591f0dc8d078faf7bd2b06abf265aa4cac92568832710810d797a622e9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-757.7","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-757.9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
