Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-757.9","heading":"Reporting system for certified physicians to report","body":"annually.\n\nA. The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the\n\nState Board of Osteopathic Examiners shall adopt an electronically\n\nbased reporting system for certified physicians to report annually\n\nthe following:\n\n1. The number of patients served;\n\n2. Age of patients served;\n\n3. Race of patients served;\n\n4. County and state of residence of patients served;\n\n5. If the patient resides outside the United States, city and\n\ncountry of residence;\n\n6. County and state of service;\n\n7. A list of staff attending patients including licensing\n\nnumbers and evidence of other qualifications;\n\n8. Each medication used or provided per patient, by date;\n\n9. Any known complications or adverse events, and how they were\n\naddressed, by date; and\n\n10. Unresolved cases.\n\nB. This reporting system shall also be used by emergency\n\ndepartment physicians and private physicians who treat post-abortion\n\ncomplications.\n\nC. Physicians shall protect from disclosure any personally\n\nidentifiable information of the patient in accordance with\n\napplicable federal and state law.\n\nD. A certified physician shall also report to their licensing\n\nboard, the State Board of Pharmacy and the Medwatch Reporting System\n\nof the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), any complication or\n\nadverse event as defined according to the FDA criteria given in the\n\nMedwatch Reporting System.\n\nE. The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the\n\nState Board of Osteopathic Examiners shall develop a system of\n\nreporting adverse events from the use of abortion-inducing drugs for\n\nthis state. The system shall require reporting of complications and\n\nadverse events including, but not limited to:\n\n1. Death;\n\n2. Blood loss including hemorrhage;\n\n3. Infection including sepsis;\n\n4. Blood transfusions;\n\n5. Administer drug for an ectopic pregnancy; and\n\n6. Other adverse effects requiring hospitalization or\n\nadditional medical care.\n\nF. The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and the\n\nState Board of Osteopathic Examiners shall require the following\n\nproviders and entities to report complications and adverse events in\n\nwriting:\n\n1. Physicians certified to provide abortion-inducing drugs;\n\n2. Emergency room physicians;\n\n3. Any doctor licensed in this state including an\n\nobstetrician/gynecologist who treats women with adverse events;\n\n4. Provision of certification requires that the physician shall\n\nalso report adverse events and any patient deaths to the FDA; and\n\n5.
