All administrators operating a hospice program in this state\n\nshall be required to complete eight (8) hours of continuing\n\neducation each calendar year.\n\nB. The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules concerning\n\nthe qualifications of continuing education courses for\n\nadministrators of hospice programs. Courses shall consist of a\n\nminimum of forty-five (45) minutes in length and may be completed\n\neither in person or online. Two (2) of the eight (8) hours shall be\n\ncomposed of ethics, and membership in a statewide organization\n\nrelating to hospice care shall be considered as completion of one\n\n(1) hour of ethics credit each year. The Board may collaborate with\n\nstatewide organizations specializing in the administration of\n\nhospice care to develop the qualifications provided for in this\n\nsubsection.\n\nC. A hospice program shall be responsible for maintaining\n\nrecords demonstrating its administrator has completed the required\n\ncontinuing education.
