Except as provided in this section, a license to operate a\n\nsheltered workshop subject to the provisions of the Sheltered\n\nWorkshop Act is not transferable. Operation of a sheltered workshop\n\nmay only be transferred:\n\n1. With the prior written approval of the Director of the\n\nDevelopmental Disabilities Services Division of the Department of\n\nHuman Services or designee; and\n\n2. From the provider or licensee named in the application to\n\nanother provider who has a current license or is deemed licensed in\n\naccordance with the requirements of the Sheltered Workshop Act.\n\nB. The transferor shall remain responsible for the operation of\n\nthe sheltered workshop until the transfer is complete.
