Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-879.2","heading":"Alzheimer's Research Advisory Council - Powers, duties","body":"and responsibilities.\n\nThe Alzheimer's Research Advisory Council shall:\n\n1. Provide advice and make recommendations to the State\n\nDepartment of Health and other state agencies regarding Alzheimer's\n\nand related dementia issues and/or programs funded or coordinated\n\nby, but not limited to, the Department of Mental Health and\n\nSubstance Abuse Services, the Department of Human Services, the\n\nState Department of Health, and the Department of Veterans Affairs;\n\n2. Develop a plan for research relating to Alzheimer's disease\n\nand related dementias that addresses and interfaces with existing\n\nplans and requires involvement by one or more state agencies;\n\n3. Examine the continuation and possible expansion of services\n\nprovided through the existing autopsy network currently in operation\n\nat the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the University of\n\nOklahoma College of Medicine and provide specific recommendations\n\nincluding funding alternatives to the State Department of Health, no\n\nlater than March 1, 1991;\n\n4. Review the need for a statewide voluntary registry in order\n\nto conduct epidemiology studies for health planning and research\n\npurposes;\n\n5. Recommend specific innovation service delivery models that\n\naddress the unique needs of multi-cultural populations, including\n\nbut not limited to ethnic sensitive practices, and culturally\n\nrelevant programming; and\n\n6. Submit before November 1 of each year to the State\n\nDepartment of Health, the Governor and the Oklahoma State\n\nLegislature a report, with copies to appropriate state agencies,\n\nsummarizing the activities of the Alzheimer's Advisory Research\n\nCouncil for the past year and indicating short-term and long-term\n\nplans and recommendations for the coming years.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"42bee23ee4b91be79f5f7bf527d07400490d3bfce467acb478e2acb3db6df54b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-878","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-879.2a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
