Each assisted living center shall establish and maintain an\n\ninternal quality assurance committee that meets at least quarterly.\n\nThe committee shall:\n\n1. Monitor trends and incidents;\n\n2. Monitor customer satisfaction measures;\n\n3. Document quality assurance efforts and outcomes;\n\n4. Recommend internal policies on resident care including, but\n\nnot limited to, policies on administration of medications; and\n\n5. Perform such other duties or functions as directed by the\n\nState Commissioner of Health through rule.\n\nB. The quality assurance committee shall include at least the\n\nfollowing:\n\n1. A Registered Nurse or physician if a medical problem is to\n\nbe monitored or investigated;\n\n2. The assisted living center administrator;\n\n3. A direct care staff person or a staff person who has\n\nresponsibility for administration of medications;\n\n4. A pharmacist consultant if a medication problem is to be\n\nmonitored or investigated; and\n\n5.
