During his tenure and for one (1) year thereafter, no\n\ncommissioner, officer, or employee of the local housing authority\n\nshall voluntarily acquire any interest, direct or indirect, in any\n\nproject or in any property included or planned to be included in any\n\nproject, or in any contract or proposed contract relating to any\n\nhousing project. If any such commissioner, officer, or employee\n\ninvoluntarily acquired any such interest, or voluntarily or\n\ninvoluntarily acquired any such interest prior to appointment or\n\nemployment as commissioner, officer, or employee, the commissioner,\n\nofficer, or employee, in any such event, shall immediately disclose\n\nhis interest in writing to the authority, and such disclosure shall\n\nbe entered upon the minutes of the authority, and the commissioner,\n\nofficer, or employee shall not participate in any action by the\n\nauthority relating to the property or contract in which he has any\n\nsuch interest. Any violation of the foregoing provisions of this\n\nsection shall constitute misconduct in office. This section shall\n\nnot be applicable to the acquisition of any interest in notes or\n\nbonds of an authority issued in connection with any housing project,\n\nor to the execution of agreements by banking institutions for the\n\ndeposit or handling of funds in connection with a project or to act\n\nas trustee under any trust indenture, or to utility services the\n\nrates for which are fixed or controlled by a governmental agency.\n\nB.
