Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1076","heading":"Aid from federal government","body":"In addition to the powers conferred upon an authority by other\n\nprovisions of this act, an authority is empowered to borrow money or\n\naccept contributions, grants, or other financial assistance from the\n\nfederal government for or in aid of any project or related\n\nactivities concerning health, environmental and similar problems of\n\npersons of low income, to take over or lease or manage any project\n\nor undertaking constructed or owned by the federal government and,\n\nto these ends, to comply with such conditions and enter into such\n\ncontracts, covenants, trust indentures, leases or agreements as may\n\nbe necessary, convenient or desirable. It is the purpose and intent\n\nof this act to authorize any authority to do any and all things\n\nnecessary or desirable to secure the financial aid or cooperation of\n\nthe federal government in the provision of decent, safe, and\n\nsanitary dwellings and maintaining a wholesome living environment\n\nfor persons of low income by the authority.
