Stat. tit. 63, § 63-142.11","heading":"Exemptions","body":"\n\nNotwithstanding anything which may be contained in this act to\n\nthe contrary, public agencies and their contractors engaged in work\n\nwithin the public right-of-way which work is a preengineered\n\nproject, certified project or routine maintenance shall be exempt\n\nfrom the provisions of this act. Provided, a public agency\n\ncontractor, prior to engaging in routine maintenance, shall take\n\nreasonable steps to determine the location of underground facilities\n\nin or near the proposed area of work.
