In addition to the notice required by Section 142.6 of this\n\ntitle, whenever the demolition of a structure is proposed, operators\n\nin the geographic area defined by the notification center who have a\n\nnotice on file with the notification center pursuant to Section\n\n142.3 of this title shall be given at least seven (7) business days'\n\nnotice of the proposed demolition before the demolition work begins.\n\nSuch notice shall be initiated by the notification center after the\n\nexcavator has met local code requirements for a demolition permit.\n\nWhen an operator is served with notice and determines that\n\nunderground facilities are within the proposed area of demolition\n\nand such facilities require additional protection, service removal\n\nor termination, the operator shall communicate this information to\n\nthe excavator and by mutual agreement the operator and excavator\n\nshall determine a date to begin the demolition which shall not\n\nexceed sixty (60) business days from the original demolition notice.\n\nIf a public agency determines that the structure endangers the\n\npublic health or safety, then the public agency may, in the manner\n\nprovided by law, order the immediate demolition of the structure.\n\nB. When a design or survey notice is received, operators or\n\ntheir designee shall provide underground facilities information\n\nwithin fourteen (14) calendar days from the time of the request\n\nwhich may include physical markings at the project site, facility\n\nmapping, or both. No excavation may take place on a design or\n\nsurvey notice. Operators shall provide the one-call notification\n\ncenter with the necessary information for notices to be sent to the\n\nappropriate person within their company or organization.\n\nC. Excavators involved in large projects may submit a pre-\n\nexcavation meeting request no less than fourteen (14) calendar days\n\nprior to beginning excavation or blasting activities. Such\n\nnotification shall include the excavator's proposed meeting date,\n\ntime, location, and contact information including name, telephone,\n\nand email. The date of the meeting shall be a minimum of seventy-\n\ntwo (72) hours after the notification has been submitted.\n\nNotwithstanding the information above, nothing prevents the\n\nexcavator and underground facility operators from choosing to meet\n\notherwise. All affected facility owners shall be notified once the\n\npre-excavation meeting request has been submitted and in turn will\n\nprovide a positive response within seventy-two (72) hours to the\n\nnotification center indicating their ability to meet on the proposed\n\nmeeting date.
