Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2-312.1","heading":"Prescription of anabolic steroids or human growth","body":"hormones.\n\nA. A licensed practitioner as defined in Section 355 of Title\n\n59 of the Oklahoma Statutes shall not prescribe, dispense, deliver,\n\nor administer an anabolic steroid or human growth hormone or cause\n\nan anabolic steroid or human growth hormone to be administered under\n\nthe direction or supervision of the practitioner except for a valid\n\nmedical purpose and in the course of a professional practice. A\n\nvalid medical purpose for the use of anabolic steroids or human\n\ngrowth hormones shall not include bodybuilding, muscle enhancement\n\nor increasing muscle bulk or strength of a person who is in good\n\nhealth. This section shall not prohibit the use of anabolic\n\nsteroids for the treatment of livestock or domestic animals in\n\naccordance with state or federal law.\n\nB. The prescribing, dispensing, delivering or administering of\n\nan anabolic steroid by a licensed practitioner in violation of the\n\nprovisions of subsection A of this section shall be grounds for\n\nrevocation or nonrenewal of the license of such licensed\n\npractitioner to practice in this state. In addition, any licensed\n\npractitioner prescribing, dispensing, delivering or administering an\n\nanabolic steroid in violation of the provisions of subsection A of\n\nthis section, upon conviction thereof shall be guilty of a Class D3\n\nfelony offense punishable by imprisonment as provided for in\n\nsubsections B through F of Section 20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, or by a fine not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars\n\n($10,000.00), or by both such imprisonment and fine.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3dbc47a1eafdc5b4866f4195daf1d4d66a07b5a51cea4db645ed7fcce111e8e9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-2-312","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-2-312.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
