Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2-315","heading":"Submission of out-of-date controlled dangerous","body":"substances for destruction.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided by law, any person required to\n\nobtain an annual registration pursuant to Section 2-302 of this\n\ntitle, or any group home, or residential care home as defined by\n\nSection 1-820 of this title shall submit for destruction all\n\ncontrolled dangerous substances which are out of date, which are\n\nunwanted, unused or which are abandoned by their owner at their\n\nfacility due to death or other circumstances.\n\nB. All controlled dangerous substances described in subsection\n\nA of this section shall be submitted to the Oklahoma City laboratory\n\nof the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, along with all\n\nrequired information on forms provided by the Oklahoma State Bureau\n\nof Investigation, to the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, to\n\na duly registered reverse distributor, to the original registered\n\nsupplier or their registered agent, to a duly registered retail\n\npharmacy, or to a hospital or clinic with an on-site pharmacy\n\npursuant to the rules set forth in Part 1317 of Title 21 of the Code\n\nof Federal Regulations. When any such substance is transported by\n\nprivate contract or common carrier or United States Postal Service\n\nfor the purpose of destruction, the sender shall require a receipt\n\nfrom such private contract or common carrier or United States Postal\n\nService, and such receipt shall be retained as a permanent record by\n\nthe sender.\n\nC. Controlled dangerous substances submitted to the Oklahoma\n\nState Bureau of Investigation pursuant to the provisions of this\n\nsection shall be destroyed pursuant to the procedures provided in\n\nsubsection A of Section 2-508 of this title.\n\nControlled dangerous substances submitted to any distributors,\n\nreverse distributors or their original registered suppliers pursuant\n\nto the provisions of this section shall be destroyed by incineration\n\nso as to make the substance absolutely unusable for human purposes.\n\nAn official record listing the property destroyed, the location of\n\ndestruction and disposal, and the name and title of the person\n\nsupervising the destruction and disposal shall be submitted to the\n\nOklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control and\n\nthe federal Drug Enforcement Administration office located nearest\n\nthe destruction site.\n\nD. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is hereby\n\nauthorized to perform on-site incineration of all controlled\n\ndangerous substances which are obtained in the discharge of the\n\nofficial duties of the Chief Medical Examiner. Any record relating\n\nto destruction of a controlled dangerous substance shall be\n\nmaintained as required by the state or federal government and shall\n\nbe available for inspection by appropriate state or federal\n\ngovernment regulatory agencies.\n\nE.
