Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2-433","heading":"Limitation of action - Accrual of cause of action -","body":"Tolling.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a claim under\n\nthe Drug Dealer Liability Act shall not be brought more than two (2)\n\nyears after the cause of action accrues. A cause of action accrues\n\nunder the Drug Dealer Liability Act when a person who may recover\n\nhas reason to know of the harm from illegal drug use that is the\n\nbasis for the cause of action and has reason to know that the\n\nillegal drug use is the cause of the harm.\n\nB. For a plaintiff, the statute of limitations under this\n\nsection is tolled when the individual potential plaintiff is\n\nincapacitated by the use of an illegal drug to the extent that the\n\nindividual cannot reasonably be expected to seek recovery under this\n\nact or as otherwise provided for by law. For a defendant, the\n\nstatute of limitations under this section is tolled until six (6)\n\nmonths after the individual potential defendant is convicted of a\n\ncriminal drug offense as otherwise provided for by law.\n\nC.
