Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2-801","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Academic medical center\" means a medical school and its\n\naffiliated teaching hospitals and clinics in this state that:\n\na. operate a medical residency program for physicians,\n\nand\n\nb. conduct research that is overseen by the federal\n\nDepartment of Health and Human Services and involves\n\nhuman subjects;\n\n2. \"Approved source\" means a provider approved by the United\n\nStates Food and Drug Administration which produces cannabidiol that:\n\na. has been manufactured and tested in a facility\n\napproved or certified by the United States Food and\n\nDrug Administration or similar national regulatory\n\nagency in another country which has been approved by\n\nthe United States Food and Drug Administration, and\n\nb. has been tested on animals to demonstrate preliminary\n\neffectiveness and to ensure that it is safe to\n\nadminister to humans;\n\n3. \"Cannabidiol\" means a nonpsychoactive cannabinoid found in\n\nthe plant Cannabis sativa L. or any other preparation thereof, that\n\nhas a tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than three-\n\ntenths of one percent (0.3%) and that is delivered to the patient in\n\nthe form of a liquid;\n\n4. \"Physician\" means a doctor of medicine or doctor of\n\nosteopathic medicine licensed by the State Board of Medical\n\nLicensure and Supervision or the State Board of Osteopathic\n\nExaminers; and\n\n5. \"Qualifying patient\" means any person who suffers from\n\nLennox-Gastaut Syndrome, Dravet Syndrome, also known as Severe\n\nMyoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy, or any other form of refractory\n\nepilepsy that is not adequately treated by traditional medical\n\ntherapies.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5aa679e3d72be773517a2602c4dcfce4880ef5bcb476622076dcfaa1f6f2bd93","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-2-701","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-2-802"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
