This section shall be known and may be cited as the\n\n\"Oklahoma Certified Healthy Communities Act\".\n\nB. The State Department of Health shall establish and maintain\n\na program for the voluntary certification of communities that\n\npromote wellness, encourage the adoption of healthy behaviors, and\n\nestablish safe and supportive environments.\n\nC. The Department shall develop criteria for certification.\n\nThe criteria may include, but shall not be limited to:\n\n1. The development and publication of educational materials\n\nthat promote health;\n\n2. The development, implementation, and enforcement of local\n\nsocial host policies;\n\n3. The implementation of local ordinances that promote the\n\nestablishment of sidewalks, walking trails, and bicycle lanes;\n\n4. The development of parks and recreation areas;\n\n5. The establishment of community gardens;\n\n6. Incentives and support for farmers' markets;\n\n7. Incentives and support for community health services, such\n\nas free clinics;\n\n8. Incentives and support for community mental health services;\n\nand\n\n9. Incentives and support for improved housing, including\n\nenergy efficiency.\n\nD. The Department shall develop an online scoring system based\n\non the criteria developed pursuant to subsection C of this section.\n\nThe program shall recognize three levels of certification based on\n\nthe online scoring system as follows:\n\n1. Basic certification;\n\n2. Merit certification; and\n\n3. Excellence certification.\n\nE.
