Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2153","heading":"Preplacement or replacement of blood as a condition of","body":"treatment.\n\nNo hospital or blood donor organization shall require either\n\npreplacement or replacement of blood as a condition of treatment.\n\nEvery statement of policy to or request of a patient or his next of\n\nkin by a physician or the personnel of a hospital or a blood donor\n\norganization regarding preplacement or replacement of blood through\n\nvoluntary donations on behalf of the patient pursuant to any\n\nscheduled transfusion of whole blood or one or more of the component\n\nparts of whole blood, shall be made in a manner not calculated or\n\nlikely to result in a marked increase in anxiety or emotional\n\ndisturbance on the part of the patient or his next of kin. Every\n\nblood donor organization shall adopt policies and procedures for\n\ndirected blood donations.
