Stat. tit. 63, § 63-2411","heading":"Administrative proceedings - Appointment of interpreter","body":"In any proceeding before any department, board, commission,\n\nagency or licensing authority of the state, in any political\n\nsubdivision or municipality, wherein any deaf or hard-of-hearing\n\nperson is a defendant, applicant, spectator as required by subtitle\n\nA of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Pub. L. 101-\n\n336, complainant, principal witness or party, such department,\n\nboard, commission, agency, licensing authority, political\n\nsubdivision or municipality shall appoint a qualified legal\n\ninterpreter upon request of the deaf or hard-of-hearing individual.\n\nThe individual who is deaf or hard-of-hearing shall determine which\n\ntype of qualified legal interpreter best fits the needs of the\n\nindividual.
