Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3090.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Nondiscrimination in Treatment Act:\n\n1. \"Health care provider\" means a person who is licensed,\n\ncertified, or otherwise authorized by the laws of this state to\n\npractice a health care or healing arts profession or who administers\n\nhealth care in the ordinary course of business;\n\n2. \"Health care service\" means any phase of patient medical\n\ncare, treatment or procedure, including, but not limited to,\n\ntherapy, testing, diagnosis or prognosis, prescribing, dispensing or\n\nadministering any device, drug or medication, surgery or any other\n\ncare or treatment rendered by health care providers;\n\n3. \"Life-preserving health care service\" means a health care\n\nservice, the denial of which, in reasonable medical judgment, will\n\nresult in or hasten the death of the patient; and\n\n4. \"Person legally authorized to make health care decisions\"\n\nmeans, in the case of an adult patient, or of a minor patient who\n\nmay consent to have services provided by health professionals under\n\nSection 2602 of this title, the person or persons designated to make\n\nhealth care decisions for the patient pursuant to Section 2 of this\n\nact, and in the case of any other minor, it means the minor's\n\ncustodial parent or guardian.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"91a5aac241ff50f17696fd74069dd6299842ab3c3520c1c96a7a8ec982813e30","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3090.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3090.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
