Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3105.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment\n\nAct:\n\n1. \"Attorney-in-fact\" means an attorney-in-fact authorized to\n\nact pursuant to the Oklahoma Health Care Agent Act, with authority\n\nto act regarding the patient's health and medical care decisions,\n\nsubject to the limitations under the Oklahoma Health Care Agent Act;\n\n2. \"Guardian\" means a general guardian of the person appointed\n\npursuant to subsection A of Section 3-112 of Title 30 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes or a limited guardian of the person appointed\n\npursuant to subsection B of Section 3-112 of Title 30 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes with the authority to make personal medical\n\ndecisions as determined under paragraph 5 of subsection B of Section\n\n3-113 of Title 30 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n3. \"Health care provider\" means a person who is licensed,\n\ncertified or otherwise authorized by the laws of this state to\n\nadminister health care in the ordinary course of business or\n\npractice of a profession;\n\n4. \"Health care proxy\" means a health care proxy or alternate\n\nhealth care proxy authorized to act pursuant to the Oklahoma Advance\n\nDirective Act, Sections 3101.1 through 3101.16 of this title, as\n\ndefined in paragraph 6 of Section 3101.3 of this title; and\n\n5. \"Other legally authorized person\" means a person, other than\n\na minor's custodial parent or guardian, the patient or the patient's\n\nattorney-in-fact, guardian or health care proxy, who has authority\n\nto make health care decisions for the patient under common law.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ddaa0db26a837ffc9f3ccd9a4ccbe25366810c258aba26d86c3362efba0a99c3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3105.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3105.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
