A health care provider or facility acting in good faith and\n\nin accordance with generally accepted health care standards\n\napplicable to the health care provider or facility shall not be\n\nsubject to civil or criminal liability or to discipline for\n\nunprofessional conduct for:\n\n1. Complying with a health care decision of a person apparently\n\nhaving authority to make a health care decision for a patient;\n\n2. Declining to comply with a health care decision of a person\n\nbased on a belief that the person then lacked authority; or\n\n3. Complying with a power of attorney for health care and\n\nassuming that the designation was valid when made and has not been\n\nrevoked or terminated.\n\nB.
