Stat. tit. 63, § 63-3226","heading":"Leases from University Hospitals Authority to University","body":"Hospitals Trust.\n\nA. Contingent upon the creation of the University Hospitals\n\nTrust as provided in Section 3224 of this title, the University\n\nHospitals Authority is hereby authorized to lease, for a term of not\n\nmore than fifty (50) years, renewable at the option of the\n\nAuthority, all real property known as the University Hospitals and\n\nany other sites under the control of the Authority to the University\n\nHospitals Trust. Any lease agreement made pursuant to this section\n\nshall be contingent upon:\n\n1. Prior review by the Attorney General of any contractual\n\nagreement between the University Hospitals Trust and any entity\n\nauthorized to transact business in the State of Oklahoma regarding\n\nthe lease and operations of the University Hospitals. The Attorney\n\nGeneral shall disapprove the agreement if it is determined that\n\nprovisions of the agreement are not consistent with state law; and\n\n2. The execution of an operating and lease agreement between\n\nthe University Hospitals Trust and any entity authorized to transact\n\nbusiness in the State of Oklahoma.\n\nB. Concurrent with the execution of a lease of real property\n\nfrom the University Hospitals Authority to the University Hospitals\n\nTrust as provided in subsection A of this section, the Authority is\n\nauthorized to transfer title to and possession of all tangible and\n\nintangible personal property under its control to the Trust. In any\n\ncontractual agreement regarding the lease and operations of the\n\nUniversity Hospitals between the University Hospitals Trust and any\n\nentity authorized to transact business in the State of Oklahoma, the\n\nTrust is authorized to sell or otherwise convey to such entity all\n\ntangible and intangible personal property the Trust may receive from\n\nthe University Hospitals Authority. Any contract or other agreement\n\nwhich purports to exercise the powers authorized by this subsection\n\nis subject to review by the Contingency Review Board, as specified\n\nin Section 3225 of this title.\n\nC. If a contracting entity fails to take possession of the\n\nleased premises or abandons or surrenders possession of the leased\n\npremises, other than to a state agency, at any time during the term\n\nof the lease between the University Hospitals Trust and the\n\ncontracting entity, the interest in the real property leased to the\n\nUniversity Hospitals Trust by the University Hospitals Authority\n\nshall revert to and be the sole and exclusive property of the\n\nUniversity Hospitals Authority.\n\nD. Contingent upon the execution of an agreement between the\n\nUniversity Hospitals Trust and any entity authorized to transact\n\nbusiness in the State of Oklahoma, as specified in subsection A of\n\nthis section, the University Hospitals Authority is authorized to\n\nenter into an agreement for such entity to provide indigent care\n\nservices and perform other related duties imposed upon the\n\nUniversity Hospitals Authority by law. Such an agreement between\n\nthe University Hospitals Authority and such entity is exempt from\n\nthe requirements of the Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act and any\n\nrules adopted by the University Hospitals Authority pursuant to the\n\nAdministrative Procedures Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"45110c26b7c86e54885a2f953d54a5dd643337ed91cd08f9d13b981435f4a6c4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3225","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-3229"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
